Programs

Teacher Education Emphasizing Math and Science at TCU (TEEMS at TCU).  Through the TEEMS at TCU program, we recruit and educate teachers at the baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral level.  These teachers help fill the need for qualified and enthusiastic K-12 mathematics and science teachers; provide leadership at the school, district and state level in mathematics and science as lead teachers, coordinators, and supervisors; and assume college faculty positions with responsibilities in conducting research and teaching future undergraduate science education courses.

Teacher Collaboration for Updating Science, Technology And Math Proficiency (TCU - STAMP).  Through the TCU- STAMP program in-service teachers are able to attend professional development workshops.  These workshops focus on helping teachers update their content knowledge and teaching skills. The workshops vary in their length (summer institutes, after school programs, week end programs) and in the type of teacher attending (such as grade level, discipline, and years of experience).

The TCU PRISM programs give K-12 students the opportunity to work with scientists, mathematicians and educators at TCU.  Students may be invited to participate in a program designed for students who have shown unusual talent in mathematics or science.  These students would have accelerated and advanced programs.  Other students may be invited to participate in a program designed for those who are at risk of not achieving at grade level in mathematics and science.
