Belonging to a community of scholars and/or community of practice is important for all educators. Professional organizations vary as seen in their mission statements and by-laws. Because each organization has a unique nature, teachers and professors should match their interests and needs to the organization that is the best fit.
The following list is only a small sample of organizations that support educators at all levels of their carrier. We encourage teachers and graduate students to join the organizations and attend yearly conferences.
